As you may know, every year for the past 20 years, Central Africa Baptist University has sponsored the Zambia Leadership Conference here on our campus in Kitwe, Zambia. Each December for two decades, we have gathered together for fellowship and worship, for praying and preaching, and for mutual encouragement and edification—all for the equipping of the people of God for the mission of God. The Leadership Conference has become truly one of the sweetest times of the year, a week that many of us look forward to with great anticipation.

A New Name for Our 21st Year

This year, as we look forward to our 21st conference, we remain committed to the same mission: equipping saints for faithful Christian living. But as we enter our 21st year, we celebrate this mission with a new name.

I’m excited to announce that what was once called the Zambia Leadership Conference will now be known as the Equip Conference.

This word “equip” best captures what we want to accomplish through this annual event. We want to serve churches by helping equip saints for faithful Christian living. This is a conference for all true Christians—for church members and chaplains, for pastors and preachers, for leaders and laypeople, for young adults and youth workers, for mothers, fathers, men and women. In other words, the Equip Conference is for the whole church.

Join Us This December

I want to invite you to join us this December from the 1st through the 5th for our 21st conference. Moving forward, it will be known as the Equip Conference. We look forward to the same passionate preaching, encouraging fellowship, and edifying worship that we have enjoyed these past 20 years together—a conference where we will gather, fellowship together, and be equipped to serve Christ faithfully.
