Central Africa Baptist University seeks a visionary Christian leader to serve as our new Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academics. As the academic cornerstone of our institution, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor will oversee all educational programs, mentor faculty, and guide students in their academic journey. We’re looking for a servant-leader with a graduate degree, preferably in Education, who brings a wealth of experience in higher education leadership and a passion for Christ-centered teaching. The ideal candidate will have a background in local church ministry, demonstrating a commitment to both academic excellence and spiritual formation. About the Role:
The Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academics will provide strategic academic leadership, overseeing all academic programs, faculty, and students. This role is instrumental in shaping the next generation of Christian leaders in Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop all academic programs, ensuring compliance with governing board expectations and national/international education standards
- Provide oversight and mentorship to academic department heads, program directors, and faculty members
- Guide student academic progress and policy adherence
- Manage academic office responsibilities, including budget oversight and policy development
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a graduate-level degree, preferably in Education
- Significant leadership experience in higher education
- Classroom teaching experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- A man of mature Christian character, demonstrating a commitment to Christ-centered education
- Experience in local church ministry is highly valued
