We are thrilled to share some exciting updates on the library project at Central Africa Baptist University. Your generous support has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life, and we want to give you a firsthand look at the remarkable progress the Lord has blessed us with!
Construction Progress
The new Kasonga Theological Library is shaping up spectacularly! Its nearly finished exterior boasts a sleek, modern design with expansive windows to bathe the interior in sunlight, crafting a welcoming atmosphere for students and faculty. We’ve also partnered with a local manufacturer to begin building the bookshelving.

Book Shipments
Your partnership is not only helping to build the physical structure but is also filling it with valuable resources:
- Container #1 (14,000 books) is en route and expected to arrive in late November or early December.
- Container #2 (15,000 books + 7,000 journals) is being prepared for shipment and is expected to arrive in January.
- Container #3 is in the planning stages, ensuring a continuous resource flow and all donations are received. (So, yes! We are still accepting books for the project. You can read more information here.)

Future Impact
This expansive library will revolutionize learning at CABU! Students, faculty, and local church leaders will soon access a vast array of theological texts, boosting research and deepening biblical knowledge. These books will shape and impact generations.
Next Steps
Join us in organizing our new library! We need volunteers willing to visit us in Zambia to help catalogue all these new books. By coming to help, you’ll make a big difference, ensuring our library is ready to serve our academic community. Whether you stay a few days or a few weeks, the time spent is extremely valuable as we expand our collection into 2025. Get in touch if you are interested in this opportunity!
Gratefully,
