I am grateful for the providence that allowed me to be born in the United States of America. She was founded by those who longed for freedom to worship God freely in line with the Holy Scriptures and according to conscience.

By God’s grace, the gospel of Jesus Christ has been proclaimed boldly across America for hundreds of years. From the spiritual awakenings to today, the good news of salvation has been freely shared. By God’s Grace, I was born in a country where the gospel was freely proclaimed, and I heard that gospel as a child. God granted me faith to believe, and I repented of sin and trusted Him for salvation.

America is not a perfect country—sin affects individuals and societies, and that is painfully evident here. But this makes God’s ongoing blessings even more amazing. He has blessed America not because of our righteousness, but according to His mercies.

My prayer on this Independence Day is that God will pour out His grace on the United States of America again through a mighty spiritual revival. May many turn back to Him in repentance and experience new life in Christ. And may those of us who are Christians renew our commitment to representing God’s eternal Kingdom through word and deed.

With a heart overflowing with thankfulness, I joyfully celebrate America’s independence today. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12). All praise belongs to Him for His amazing grace toward the United States of America!

Happy Independence Day!
