Alan Nyoni, is a former rapper from Zimbabwe who attended a charismatic “prosperity gospel” church, but started listening to John Piper, John MacArthur, Tim Keller, and Paul Washer on YouTube. The teachings awakened in him a hunger for more of the word of God, leading him to search for similar teaching ministries in Africa. One day in 2019, Alan reached out to me on Twitter. In God’s providence, CABU offered him a scholarship to study and prepare to pastor a local church. Alan recently shared about the impact the library has had on his life and preparation for ministry.
“The library at Central Africa Baptist University is an immense blessing. It is the unsung hero in the lives of many Bible students. Personally, I experienced immense growth in my understanding by utilizing its shelves, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to both new and returning students whenever they seek my input on any question they might have.
“I encountered difficulties in formulating a coherent and well-grounded doctrinal statement. I found the systematic theology section extremely beneficial. I consulted the works of John Frame, Herman Bavinck, R.C. Sproul, and Millard Erickson to gain a comprehensive understanding of various individual perspectives on specific doctrines. This enabled me not only to solidify my personal convictions but also to relate to those who held differing views from my own.”

The new Library building on the campus of Central Africa Baptist University is opening later this year, and our goal is to stock the shelves with another 30,000 books, adding to the 16,000 already on hand. You can read about the history of CABU and this project here.
The Lord has opened an opportunity for us to ship books for the Paul Kasonga Theological Library to Zambia at no cost to ourselves! What a gift! Here is a link for the explanation of this project, and how you can take part! https://www.cabcusa.com/for-library-project
The average cost of a new book for inclusion in the shipment is $10. Please consider a donation of one book, ten books, 100 or even 1000 books! Our goal is to raise $300,000 for this project, and we are already over 1/6th of that amount is in! Whatever amount the Lord provides will be used in its entirety to fill this container, and stock the shelves!
The button below will take you directly to the online donation page for the Library Project. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and for whatever the Lord may lead you to do to help with the Zambia Library Project.
UPDATE: Two containers of books are on their way to Zambia. We praise the Lord for a third container made available to transport books for this project. Please get your donation in by the end of October to be included!
