At Central Africa Baptist University, we are looking for a certain kind of man—those who will abandon themselves without reservation to the God of heaven. We want to equip passionate, committed disciples who are willing to risk everything to carry the gospel across Africa and make disciples of all nations.

Our vision is to take these men of God and provide them with the robust theological training, spiritual development, and practical ministry skills necessary to return to their homelands as spiritual leaders and powerfully impact their communities for the glory of Christ.

While we don’t preclude women from taking classes, CABU’s primary focus is training men in various areas and aspects of ministry leadership. We offer degrees like counseling that are available to both men and women, as well as an education program equipping teachers of both genders.

CABU is training servant-leaders to be primary school teachers. We have one of the best programs in the country, producing competent, men and women of godly character as teachers!

But at our core, we aim to develop the next generation of leaders for the Church in Africa—pastors, evangelists, church planters, and more—men ablaze for the gospel and committed to the Great Commission wherever God calls them to serve.

We recognize that formal theological education has both strengths and weaknesses. There are other paths for ministry training and preparation. However, we believe it is a crucial component for developing leaders solidly grounded in Scripture, sound doctrine, and the historical Christian faith.

This is why CABU not only offers residential programs but also seeks to take theological education “on the road” through our TSE Program to those already serving in pastoral roles across Africa—whether in cities, towns, or villages. Formal and non-formal training must go hand in hand to equip the next generation of African church leaders.

Do you have a passion to abandonly pursue Christ’s glory among the nations? Do you desire robust training to serve God’s Church as a spiritual leader? If so, we’d love for you to explore how CABU can be part of your journey. The nations are waiting for more laborers; Christ is calling more leaders—will you answer?
