The book “Lords of the Earth” by Don Richardson left an indelible mark on my imagination as a young teenager. It tells the true story of Stan Dale and Bruno de Leeuw, two missionaries who took the gospel and lived among the Yali people, one of the most isolated tribes in Western New Guinea (now part of Indonesia). Richardson vividly depicts the harrowing challenges and sacrifices these men faced in their quest to bring the Gospel to this primitive, unreached people group.

This gripping story kindled a fire within me – a desire to do something difficult for God. I began praying, asking the Lord if He would allow me to go to unreached peoples and share the good news with them. Although God has led me down different paths over the years, that deep longing for the unreached has never diminished.
This passion now drives me in my role at CABU, to train leaders, instilling in them a zeal for reaching those who have never heard the Gospel. Motivated by this calling, we established a 10/40 scholarship, enabling men from unreached regions to come and prepare for ministry among their people. Men like Joseph from the Yao tribe of Malawi, Mohammed from Darfur in Sudan, and Matthew and John from the Wa people of northern Ghana. It compelled me to travel to northern Somalia on a missions survey trip and inspired me to lead our church to support a church planter working among the Somali people in Africa.
As the Lord grants me health and more years, it is my heartfelt prayer that this little place in Zambia will become a hub for equipping and sending out God-called leaders to the multitudes of unreached peoples across the African continent. Will you join me in praying for this vision to become a reality?
